Due to the fact i am seeing so many post on several scrapper free Disney pin sites and several people asking me how to spot a fake i thought i would add some tips to help.  Nothing is worse then an unhappy trader or customer who got a fake just because the seller did not know or check their pins.  This is the rule of the rubber mickey stopper. Since approximately 2007-2008 Disney pins (as far as i know a nd have seen)  all now come with the little spikes on the side of the post.  If you have two identical pins and one has the spikes and the other does not.  This rule helps weed out the fake.  I do not have identical pins for this example but at least you can see what to look for. Rule does not apply to double post pins. I also posted double post pins with and without the stopper spike.  The most important thing is that if it has a single post and no stopper it is fake if made after 2008. If it has a single post and a stopper does not make it Authentic.  You still need to check pin for other identifying Disney traits.  Color.  Smooth edges.  Spelling spacing.
