Scrapper: A Scrapper is an original Disney pin that did not pass inspection and somehow made it out of the factory and into the trading community. These pins have flaws that make them just plain old ugly but they are infant authentic Disney pins.

Fake: A fake pin is a pin made by using real pins as molds or samples to re-fabricate it. Despite what others may say there are ways to tell a real/scrapper from a fake pin; texture and weight for example are key when looking for a fake. You can also look for quality and the base of the post, Disney uses a thicker and heavier metal that help with identifying fakes. (These fake pins are getting better and better each year making it harder to tell the difference.

Sharks: A shark is a Trader that up-sales his/hers pins to inexperience traders so they end up with the better deal. For example Trader A tells Trader B his Rapunzel Paris crest rack pin is hard and is worth an LE pin when it's a global shared rack pin.

Flipper: A flipper is a re-seller that goes to releases and sell the pins to make a profit. These people often get called sharks when in fact they are just flipping re-sellers
